Bret Lyon, PhD - Body/Mind Integration

He has been helping people reduce stress and anxiety and expand energy and aliveness for over 25 years. He also runs training programs for psychotherapists and body workers. Bret holds doctorates in both Psychology and Drama.



Carol Kress - Feldenkrais Practitioner

carolCarol Kress is a Feldenkrais® practitioner who has maintained a long and varied private practice. Her work is informed by her long-time involvement in equestrian arts, thorough study of yoga and dedicated practice of the martial art of Aikido.  Awareness Through Movement® classes with Carol Kress are offered at the Feldenkrais Resources Center. Tuition is $8 per class. Drop-ins welcome.



Douw Smith - Certified Rolfer

DouwsmallDouw is a certified Rolfer, trained at the Rolf Institute in Boulder Colorado in 1997. He has had hundreds of hours of continuing education in Rolfing subjects, as well as courses in visceral manipulation. Doug has also been involved in a craniosacral certification program with Hugh Milne since 2003.  “Our bodies radiate our sense of inner self. By creating balanced structure, Rolfing is a way to come into harmony with our bodies, to maximize the joy and pleasure we can experience through our physical movement.”


Elaine Yoder - Feldenkrais Practitioner, Hendrickson Method Practitioner

photo hands on head 01Elaine Yoder is a Feldenkrais® practitioner and a Hendrickson Method therapist. She holds a 5th degree black belt in Aikido and has taught the martial art for over 25 years. Her varied experience in movement (martial arts, running, dance) is applied to individual sessions and group movement classes.  Awareness Through Movement® classes on Saturdays, 10am-11am, in suite 107. Giorgia G. Milne - Biodynamic Cranial Touch Practitioner and Teacher

Gigi photo 2014Giorgia Milne brings a rare quality of presence that is heart felt, spirit filled and deeply intelligent. She teaches Biodynamic Cranial Touch worldwide and offers private sessions here locally and abroad. Her work embodies the integration of 30 years of practices spanning meditation, inquiry, clinical practice as a Physician Assistant in General and Internal Medicine, Indigenous Wisdom Ways, movement modalities, sacred bodywork, and all major forms of craniosacral work. She specializes in advanced biodynamic cranial practice.


Kay Ellyard - Feldenkrais Practitioner

Kayd prof photoKay Ellyard began taking Awareness Through Movement classes in the early 1970’s from the dancer Chloe Scott – one of the first practitioners trained by Moshe Feldenkrais in the USA. Kay experienced the teaching of Moshe Feldenkrais directly during a workshop in the mid 1970’s. She began teaching movement exploration in the early 1980’s and graduated from the Feldenkrais Practitioner Training taught by David Zemat-Bersin and Elizabeth Beringer in 2000. Kay is a co-founder of the Low Fee Feldenkrais Clinic.

Sheila Rubin, LMFT - Psychotherapist

Sheila RubinSheila Rubin is a Marriage and Family Therapist who has helped people develop conscious relationships with themselves, their partners and children for over 20 years. She provides individual psychotherapy, and family/ couples sessions. Groups include Embodied Storytelling, Conscious Relationship, Eating Disorders, and Drama Therapy Training. Sheila teaches at JFK Somatic Psychology Program and CIIS.


Sonia Foscoli - BioDynamic Cranial Touch, Aston-Patterner®, Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor

SoniaSonia Foscoli is a certified BioDynamic Cranial Touch practitioner, a certified Massage Therapist, Aston-Patterner®, and a Hatha Yoga instructor. Her background includes training and experience in movement coaching and ergonomic consulting. Sonia also works in conjunction with businesses incorporating ergonomics, movement and yoga classes in their wellness programs.

Joseph Carter - Licensed Acupuncturist

JosephCarterJoseph Carter is a Licensed Acupuncturist in private practice since 1988. His practice of hands on Asian Healing Arts began in 1978. His teaching career commenced in 1984, and he became a Licensed Acupuncturist in 1988. His practice is rooted in hands-on healing (Acupressure, Shiatsu & Tui Na), inspired by training in Ecology (UC Berkeley, 1982), extensive studies in Classical Chinese Medicine/Philosophy and his deep love of this wondrous planet. A sought after teacher and writer, Joseph formerly directed the Acupressure Institute and maintains an active teaching and writing schedule.

In 1999 he was selected one of the "Bay Area Top 10” in Acupuncture/Asian Medicine (SF Focus Magazine).
